Who We Are
Live is Lit is a stage for all the world – an opportunity for performers to be seen and compensated for their art. Bands broadcast full shows, perhaps even rehearsals, self-distribute independent music, and chat with guests on their own podcasts. Poets and storytellers come to speak, casting a refreshing bit of magic in a calculating world. Combining the raw energy of live performance with the technological advancements of Bitcoin and Podcasting 2.0 technologies, we strive to capture the magic of live entertainment, and make them shareable, boostable, and unforgettable. As the future unfolds, a living archive of art of our time emerges.
Live is Lit looks for new ways to have live experiences. Music, podcasting, streaming, and our entire lives on the Internet have been largely monopolized by large tech companies. However, alternatives exist. We design and program everything from the ground up. We build our own apps in direct competition to and blatant disregard for the big buck apps, freeing ourselves from a crippling system of grift. We do not believe in ads or paywalls. You do not need to like or subscribe. We simply wish for you to enjoy incredible artists worldwide, and give you the power to support them directly as is your pleasure.
We are a small group of professionals with day jobs who have created this for the love of art.
We wish to build new tools and new means for artists to be seen and supported.
We will provide this to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
We spit in the face of technocratic institutions.
